Terry (TC) Collins 67 of Cortland, NY passed away peacefully in his sleep at Guthrie Cortland Medical Center early morning Easter Sunday , April 17, 2022 surround by his loved one. Terry fought long hard battles with his COPD! Proving his warrior status!
Terry was born December 7, 1954 in Waverly PA to the late Richard Collins and Althea Mae Crapser. He is pre deceased by his Brothers Lawrence (Wisconsin) and Richard (New York) he is survived by his siblings David (De-De) Collins; Robert (Sheila) Collins of Flordia; Antonette (Don) Copeland of Oklahoma; Donna (Steve) Simmons; Michael (Joanne) Collins and Joe (Debra) Collins of New York.
Terry is survived by his Daughters Jessica (Gary Nye) and Ashley Collins, his Bonus daughter Michelle Downes Laura Fasette and Corlissia Hathaway Family Friends Steve Friedah and Diane King He is survived by his grandchildren Arianna Howard, Jessalynn and Tyler Collins, Ebony Nye Tatum and Anthoni Stevens

Terry left high school to serve in the United States Army from 1972-74 after that he traveled the country where ended up meeting his wife and mother of his 2 daughters in Texas at the piggly wiggly. They came back to New York to get married and start a family… he worked for Grumman Boats until the late 80’s to start his own construction company Sun Rise Construction Home Renovations!!!
He graduated in 1997 receiving his GED at Cortland OCM BOCES! Working at Woodford brothers until 2011!
My life long friend said “He was the man, the myth the legend! You were an amazing caring ****** 🤣 give your shirt off your back to anyone! Hard headed, stubborn, no **** to give kind of man but a heart of gold” this couldn’t be more true! His name at the hospital was rock n roll Jesus!! He was a such a free spirit and such a fun dad; the memories are endless and in our hearts forever!
The family will receive friends on Thursday, April 21, 2022 from 1:00 -3:00 p.m at the Peruville New Testament Church to remember and share stories to celebrate his life.
