Obituary for Vicki A. Williams
Vicki A. Williams, 65 of Cortland, New York died December 12, 2021 at Crown Park Rehabilitation Center after an extended illness.
Born January 20, 1956 in Cortland, New York, she was the daughter of the late Russell and Dorothy Rose Gollner.
Having been a lifelong resident of the Groton and Cortland area she had been a 1974 graduate of Cortland High School and had attended TC3 where she graduated with a degree in business.
Vicki had been employed at various places which Included Smith Corona, Cornell University and later becoming a day care provider. She had earlier been a member of Grace Episcopal Church in Cortland where she sang in the choir.
She had enjoyed cross stitching and was an avid sender of cards for various occasions to many people but her forte was her holidays which she enjoyed decorating and celebrating, especially Christmas. She was a lifetime member of the Carrington Post 800 American Legion’s Auxiliary.
She cherish the time that she spent with her children and grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Dale A. Williams of Cortland, her daughter Lesley (Rob Decker) Williams, son, Matthew (Gina) Williams, both of Groton five grand children, Jason, Jenny, Julie (Adams), Rhylie, Blaiyer (Williams), two great-grandchildren, her brother Mark (Elga) Gollner of Texas , several nieces and nephews and cousins,
Memorial services will be held on Saturday , December 18, 2021 at 1:00 PM at the Zirbel Funeral Home 115 William St. Groton. The family will receive friends from 11 to 1 prior to the services. Spring interment will take place in the McGraw Cemetery. Reception at The Elm Tree to follow at 2:30.
