Charles Edward Gunn, 87 of Groton, NY died June 19, 2021, at his home surrounded by his family.

Born April 12, 1934 in Ledyard, New York, He was the son of the late Benjamin and Helen Allen Gunn.

Having lived in the area most of his life, he had been employed with Contenos in Homer, NY , followed by many years at the Cortland Courthouse where He retired from in 1999. Mr. Gunn enjoyed hunting, playing cards, and was an avid stock car enthusiast .

He is survived by his children, George Gunn of Baldwinsville, Debra (Carl) Martin, Ronald (Sheila) Gunn , both of Cortland,Cindy (Tim) Foster of Freeville, Barbara Biase of Homer, and Edward (Melinda) Gunn of Groton, 15 grand children and several great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his siblings Randy, Doug, Gary Gunn and Joan Zhe and many nieces and nephews, Besides his parents he was predeceased by his wife Olia Gunn his granddaughter, Heather and siblings, Harold, Dale, Walter, Norman, Vivian, Marlene and Debbie.

The family will receive friends on Friday, June 25, 2021 at the Groton Assembly of God church from, noon -1:00pm. A Celebration of his life will be held at 1 PM followed by interment in the Groton Rural Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s. Association.
