I really do not remember ever having an argument or fight with my brother Dana. We always got along. He was the calm one! On the farm, I could always count on Dana's kind and patient way of teaching me how to do something. No matter what, if Dana was there, everything would be all right. In that way, he was most like Mom.
I remember at Christmastime I would be fearful of not having a Christmas tree. That was a lot of anxiety for a little boy! Dana calmed my fears by making sure the tree was put up, patiently stringing and testing the lights. Then Darlene and I would help with the decorations. He always tried to make things good for us.
One day we will meet on the other side where all is perfect peace and joy, together with our Savior. For now, I am really going to miss him. I already do.

Lay down your weary head Dana for your journey is at an end. Through all the years of giving to others it is now your time to ascend . So drift away as the wind will take you and have no worries for no one will wake you . Amen
