Edith was a close friend . We spent many Thursdays having Bible study with the Senior Saints and Pastor John Iler at New Testament Church of Peruville . After reading various Bible verses and having interesting discussions , some of us would go to the Chinese Buffet in Cortland . Edith and I would pretty much always go there no matter where the rest would go . We both had that buffet in common . Edith didn’t talk much so we were a good pair as I would do the talking . I don’t know how I got to be close to her , possibly because I was there while her husband was alive and I got to see her helping him in and caring for him . I attended a birthday party for her in Groton and we somehow just connected . I moved away and often remember the good times we shared . Forever in my heart .. Donna Van de Bogart
