Debra J. Blanchard, 60 of Freeville, NY died May 22, 2020 at Cayuga Medical Center after a short illness.
Born February 7, 1960 in Johnson City, NY she was the daughter of the late Theodore and Linda Persons Blanchard.
Debra had attended Cortland High School and had worked at Intertek Testing Services in Cortland followed by current employment at Curtis Wright Corp. in Ithaca. She was an avid Steve King reader and enjoyed watching crime scene shows. A funny carefree person who on a moments notice would say let’s hop in the car and go walk the shores of the north East ocean whether it was Massachusetts, Maine , New Hampshire off she went just to breathe in the Ocean air. But what she treasured the most with spending time with her family.
She was one-of-a-kind and will be missed dearly.
Surviving are her children, Jessica ( Brandon) Liddle of Cincinnatus, John (Lisa) Blanchard of Homer, and Douglas (Rikki) Cross of McLean, nine grandchildren and siblings Nancy (Ernest) Pfleuger of Homer, Kenneth (Debra) Blanchard of Idaho, Edward (Nancy ) Blanchard of Florida , Daniel Blanchard of Homer, and Mike and Lee Barker of Missouri, Several nieces and nephews survive her as well. Besides her parents she was predeceased by a daughter Jenna Nichole Cross who passed at birth and her step mother, Joan Blanchard.
