Bruce A. Muller, Sr., 82, of Jeslen Court, Groton passed away at his home on Saturday, April 18, 2020 after an extended illness.

Bruce was born March 1, 1938 in Ithaca, New York, a son of the late Oscar A. and Harriet Babcock Muller.

A lifelong resident of the Tompkins County area, Bruce graduated from Dryden Central School in 1956. He married Peggy L. French on November 10, 1956. He worked at Borg-Warner in Ithaca as a machinist for ten years until he retired in 2003. After that, he went to work at Walmart in Cortland because liked being around people.

He loved the outdoors, spending as much time as he could doing the things he loved. He was an avid gardener ,enjoyed fishing, loved to shoot trap at the Groton Rod & Gun Club, and for several years was an umpire in the Groton Mens' Softball League. He was a member of the Groton American Legion Post #800 War Dads.

In addition to his wife, Peggy at home, he is survived by his children, Bruce A. Muller, Jr. of Groton, Vickie Comfort of Cortland, Candace Kolb of Rochester and Kristine Ruggaber of Syracuse; ten grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren; his sister, Kathleen Malonis of West Virginia and many nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, he was pre-deceased by a brother, David Muller in 2013.

Due to the current pandemic, there will be no current services or visitation. A gathering will be held at a future date and will be announced.

Im so sorry!!! Bruce and I shared many softball memories back in my 20's that will never be forgotten. A good man!!! RIP my friend

There are too many sweet memories to capture in this area. Bruce was upbeat and always funny, he would make me laugh when it was least expected. Y’all are in our thoughts and prayers and wishing you the deepest sympathy for your loss.
