Jean and I were both members of The Class of 1948 - Homer Central. But I really knew her later through our husbands. George and Roy were teenage friends and when Roy and Jean married, George and I "stood up" with them. Roy was George's Best Man when we married. Jean and I later worked on a couple of class reunions together. I'll remember her as a good, cheerful friend with a delightful laugh.

Jean is a wonderful soul who always made you feel special when you were with her. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother and friend. For years she never missed sending hand written cards for birthdays, anniversaries, holidays, or just because. Her smile and spirit could always brighten your day. It was a gift to be part of the life of someone who made the world a better place with her presence. We will miss her, but also know she will always be with us.

In loving memory

I grew up next to Jean and her family. I was best friends with her son Brian and my sister was best friends with Sue. Jean was like another mother to me . I have known her since I was 2 days old. She used to treat me as one of her own, even scolding me when I did something wrong, like getting lost when Brian and I took our bikes a little further than we should have. She was a great woman who up until the last few years, always sent me a birthday card. She was an awesome woman and will be greatly missed. My condolences go to her whole family.
