Obituary

Georgianna Todd, 78, of Route 90, Locke passed away peacefully at her home on Monday, September 23, 2019 after an extended illness.

Mrs. Todd was born on February 17, 1941 on Long Island, NY a daughter of the late Gerald H. and Gertrude Lanzilotta Pearsall.

She graduated from Groton Central School in 1960 and married Gerald J. Todd on September 24, 1960 and worked at Smith Corona for a short time. She then devoted her career to raising a family and helping her husband operate Todd Farms on Route 90. Her hobbies included playing bingo and cards, crocheting and horse racing. She was a longtime member of the Moravia Trotting & Racing Association and had served as an EMT for over 20 years with Four Town First Aid.

Her and her husband spent time in Dade City, FL in their later years.

Mrs. Todd is survived by her husband of 59 years, Gerald at home; her children, Lynne (Ron) Kratzer of Genoa and Craig (Kim) Todd of Locke; grandchildren, Emily (Dan) Parker, Kayla (Chad) Turcsik and Christopher (Danielle) Todd; great-grandchildren, Ava Parker, Julia Parker, Scott Paul Parker and Blake Charles Turcsik. Her brother, Gerald O. (Anna) Pearsall. Sisters-in-law, Sharon (Edward) Calhoun and Geraldine (Phil) Hopkins as well as her faithful dog, Nina.

In addition to her parents, she was pre-deceased by a sister, Geraldine Cleveland.

A Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, September 28th, 3:30 p.m. At the Zirbel Funeral Home, 115 Williams St., Groton. Interment will follow in Bird Cemetery, Locke. Friends may call on Saturday from 2:30 to 3:30 prior to the service at the funeral home.

A reception will be held at the Locke Fire Station immediately folowing the cemetery committal.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Locke Fire Department, P.O. Box 183, Locke, NY 13092.

I was so sorry to learn of Georgianna's passing. She was a warm, wonderful, loving woman and a great animal lover. I wish I had known to attend her services, but please accept my deepest sympathies.

Tom and I are so sorry about Georgianna's passing. She was a hard working, kind, and wonderful person and will be missed by many. Keep your good memories near, they will bring you inner peace.

So sorry to see the passing of Georgianna. She was a treasured member of our Groton School class of 1960. We will miss her.
