Obituary for Heather Jean Naylor

Heather Jean Naylor, 32, passed away surrounded by her family, on Saturday, June 1, 2019 at Upstate Medical Hospital.

Heather was born July 14, 1986 in Cortland NY and spent her entire life living in the area. She is survived by her son Tavin Naylor; her parents, Justin (Barbara) Naylor of Cortland and Cindy (Timothy) Foster of Freeville; four brothers, Eric Conklin of Groton, Christopher Hewes of Cortland, Justin (Ashley) Naylor of Cortland, and Timmy (Michelle) Foster of Dryden; her paternal grandparents, Tom and Robin Naylor of East Freetown, maternal grandfather, Ed Gunn of Groton; nieces Anahlee, Emma, Morgan, Paige, Lyla and nephews Ashtin and Lincoln; many Aunts, Uncles, and Cousins, and all of her friends. Heather is predeceased by her paternal grandmother, Jean Naylor, and maternal grandmother, Olia Gunn.

Heather graduated from Cortland High School in 2004 and later attended OCM BOCES enrolled in the LPN program. She had a zest for life and gave the best hugs ever hands down. She loved fishing and camping and animals and while growing up often adopted creatures as pets such as frogs and ferrets. Heather was determined to live her life, her way. She had a contagious laugh that we would give anything to hear one more time. She was bossy but loving. She was bold but caring. Heather’s journey in life included struggles that only the souls of those who’ve walked that path would know or understand. Her soul is now free. The way she always wanted. She fought her battle with courage.  And she will watch over Tavin who will know a beautiful life. We will miss Heather terribly. But she will never be forgotten.

Revelations 21:4
